Collision Management Services, Inc. was founded in 1995 to meet the needs of the collision repair industry for management training, performance improvement, and systems development.

Today’s competitive and economic environment is more challenging than ever. The true industry leaders are the ones who can adapt to change and adopt “faster, better, cheaper” as a way of life while at the same time creating a people friendly environment that enables us to attract and retain that level of talent necessary to enable success.

CMS remains on the forefront of that challenge. Its products and services are targeted to meet the needs of the collision repair industry and those who serve it such as manufacturers, insurers, and distributors.

Initially, CMS developed and presented the Vision Plus™ Professional Management Seminar series on behalf of BASF Corporation and has set the standard and defined a leadership role in helping collision industry management move into the 21st Century. Automotive Management Institue (AMI) has accredited all eight of the Vision Plus Seminars. In addition, CMS has presented at the NACE convention since 1999. Since then over 8,000 seats have been filled at CMS Seminars and Workshops.

In addition to seminar development and presenting, CMS has provided on-site consultative services to consolidators, dealerships, and independent collision centers.

In 1999, CMS broadened its portfolio of training to include two-day interactive workshops to train BASF sales representatives and build their core competencies and enable them to offer improved consulting expertise to their collision customers.

Then, in 2000 CMS was contracted by Southeast Toyota and Toyota Motor Sales to develop and present a series of four 2-day workshops for collision center managers at Toyota dealerships across the country. These interactive workshops include Financial Performance Management, Collision Center Sales and Marketing, Human Resource Management and Advanced Production Systems.

For 2001, CMS continues to develop training for collision industry professionals with interactive 1-day courses on topics such as Paint & Material Profitability, Paint Department Productivity, Estimating for Profit, Ensuring Customer Satisfaction and Fast Track Production Coordination.
